NORTHERN HIGHLANDS TEACHERS' COLLEGE BRIEF HISTORY

The institution was established in july 2008 and was fully registred by the ministry of education and vocation training on 27/08/2008 with registration number CU_081. In August, 2015 the college was fully registred under the National Council for Technical Education - NACTE (REG/TLF/117).

The College is located in Moshi Town just adjacent to VETA and opposite the Moshi Airport and is just a 5 minutes drive from the terminal bus stand.

Moshi Town is also one of the tourist destination where tourists visit Kilimanjaro Mountain the highest mountain in Africa and the second in the world after Everest Mountain. In addition the mountain we are closer to several wildlife sanctuaries including Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti and Tarangire. All these make the location of the college an ideal place for education, visits and recreation.
